Fire Fighters Pass The Boot
Sonora, CA -- Area fire fighters from the U.S. Forest Service are asking Sonora residents to kick in and raise money for a child left without a Mother after a fatal crash in Jamestown.
The fire fighters are passing a boot for the daughter of 27year old Amy Wayne who died after she was hit by a car while running on Jamestown Road and Mount Brow Road in Jamestown. The fire fighters are taking donations at the intersection of Sanguinetti Road and Greenley Road in Sonora until four this afternoon.
Fire Fighter Martin Andrada says, "Amy Wayne's brother is a fire fighter for the U.S. Forest Service so when this tragedy happened we knew we had to help. So we just tried to come up with ways to benefit and aid the family. We want to do anything we can for the family during this hard time."
Andrada says 100 percent of the money donated will go to a trust fund for Wayne's daughter.
