Sonora Street Flooding

The rain is causing havoc in some areas of the Mother Lode today.

PG&E reports that there are four power outages in Tuolumne County impacting 153 customers. In Calaveras County there are 14 outages impacting 403 customers. Many are in the Arnold, Avery and Valley Springs areas. There is not an estimated restoration time. To report an outage, or try to receive information on a specific neighborhood, you can call 1-800-PGE-5000.

The CHP has been on scene of a mud and rock slide on Highway 49 near Carson Hill. It is blocking a portion of the southbound traffic lane. There are also reports of roadway flooding on Highway 4 near Murphys, and Highway 26 near Ridge Road in the Valley Springs area. Allow yourself extra time when traveling today.

An Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory is in effect for Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties until 6:15pm this evening. To find more information on the weather you can view the myMotherLode.com weather section by clicking here.
