Flood Advisory Issued For Calaveras & Tuolumne

The National Weather Service has issued an Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties through 6:15pm this evening.

A Flood Watch also remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada below 7000 feet through 10pm this evening.

An additional inch to an inch and a half of rainfall is expected.  

Rises in smaller creeks, streams and rivers have occurred or are occurring. Road flooding, rock slides or mud and debris flows are all possible.

A Wind Advisory also remains in effect in the Sierra Nevada through 4pm.

Winds of twenty to thirty-five mph are expected with gusts up to sixty mph over the ridgetops.

Several inches of snow is likely in the higher locations of the Sierra by tonight.
