Mother Lode & Sierra Nevada Flood Watch

The next storm will move through the region Saturday through Sunday and bring heavy rain below 7000 feet.

One to three inches of additional rainfall is expected in the central valley.

Flood Watches remains in effect for the Mother Lode through Sunday afternoon and the Sierra Nevada through Sunday evening.

Rises in smaller creeks, streams and rivers may occur. Road flooding, rock slides or mud and debris flows are all possible.

A Wind Advisory also remains in effect for the Sierra Nevada through Sunday 4pm.

Winds of twenty-five to thirty-five mph are expected with gusts ranging from fifty to seventy mph near the Sierra crest.

The National Weather Service has also issued a Wind Advisory for the Mother Lode from Saturday 10pm through Sunday 4pm.

Winds of fifteen to twenty-five mph are likely with gusts up to forty mph.

A few inches of snow is likely in the highest locations of the Sierra by Sunday night.
