Christmas Season Arrives
Sonora, CA -- The streets of downtown Sonora were packed Friday night for the 29th annual Christmas Parade.
The parade is put on by the City of Sonora and draws entries from numerous businesses and service organizations. It is the traditional kickoff to the Christmas season in the Mother Lode. City of Sonora Special Events Coordinator Sheila Wilkinson says all of the entries were required to be lighted. The parade drew a mix of local residents and visitors in town for the Thanksgiving holiday.
