Traffic backs up as work begins

Sonora, CA -- Traffic is slow going through downtown Sonora because of a broken main waterline.
It happened during the eight o'clock hour this morning between Lytton Street and William Street. The exact location is 417 S. Washington Street. T.U.D. crews are directing traffic through the area.
T.U.D. officials say the work is expected to wrap up at around two o'clock this afternoon. Travel with caution, and allow yourself some extra time if traveling through the area.
