Winter Weather Advisory Extended For The Sierra
The National Weather Service has extended the Winter Weather Advisory for the Sierra Nevada through Saturday 6AM.
Three to six inches of additional snow is likely above 3000 feet.
Snow levels begin mostly around 2500 feet.
Winds of five to ten mph will continue with gusts up to twenty-five mph.
In the central valley, brief heavy rain, gusty winds, small hail and a brief funnel cloud are all possible this afternoon.
This will be followed by a dry and unseasonably cold airmass over California this weekend.
There is a chance of frost early Sunday and Monday mornings.
