Pinecrest, CA -- Twain Harte-Long Barn School District officials are looking at options for the closed down Pinecrest School.
The district will likely end up selling or leasing the facility. A District Advisory Committee will hold a public hearing next month where the community can give input regarding "acceptable uses" for the property.
The school is located at 30433 Old Strawberry Road. The District has released a list of 11 uses that are considered "acceptable," and they will be up for review at the hearing. They include a school, senior center/residential, event center, camp (science camp or outdoor education), government/administrative office, industrial enterprise, technology enterprise, tribal use (casino), hotel, research and development enterprise, and beverage manufacturer.
The public hearing will be held at 6pm on Thursday, December 6th at 2 Pinecrest School Road in Pinecrest.
