Tuolumne County, CA -- PG & E reports nearly 7,000 customers are without power in Tuolumne County in Twain Harte and the Phoenix Lake-Cedar Ridge area.

Update 9:40 a.m.: PG&E reports the power is back on for some 7000 customers in Tuolumne County. They say crews were able to re-route some circuts and get the power back on for most of the residents in about 30 minutes. However, they say about 53 homes are still without electricity in the Twain Harte area due to a wire down on Center Camp Road. They estimated it will be fixed around 11:30 a.m. Also, there is no word on what cause the initial outage.

During heat or snow, overburdened electric cables, transformers, and other electrical equipment can fail. Be safe, never touch a downed powerline or electrical equipment. For our yellow page listings of local power providers click here.
