Central Sierra Arts Council Moves Into Dome
The Sonora Dome is going to be the center of activity this Saturday.
Louise McPeters of the Central Sierra Arts Council was Wednesday's KVML "Newsmaker of the Day".
Central Sierra Arts Council is moving and will be taking up residence at the Sonora Dome.
The official dedication and grand opening of Tuolumne County's new Arts Center will take place on Saturday, October 6th, from 9AM to 4PM. Additionally and coincidentally, this Saturday is also California Arts Day.
McPeters is inviting the general public to come celebrate and has planned a day full of activity.
"We are so excited to host this amazing new chapter for the Central Sierra Arts Council," said McPeters. "That's why we are inviting the public to take a little drive up to Barretta Street. The Sonora Dome and the new Central Sierra Arts Council buildings will be swinging, dancing, singing and enjoying a great creative time together!"
McPeters continued, "We'll have yummy food and drinks available, courtesy of our sponsors. Plus people are welcome to pack a picnic and dine on the beautiful, sloping lawns of The Dome! Those who do will also experience the lovely view of our little hometown, Sonora."
A complete list of the hour-by-hour activities can be found at http://www.centralsierraarts.org/
The "Newsmaker of the Day" is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6;47, 7:47 and 8:47am
