Accident Shuts Down Sonora Street
Sonora, CA - Sonora Police Report there is an accident on North Washington Street in front Sonora Union High school. Both lanes are closed off to traffic.
Police says a vehicle has struck a pedestrian crossing North Washington Street. There is no word on injuries at this time, but an ambulance has been called to the scene.
Traffic is slow going so motorists will want to avoid the area.

Update 4:50pm: Sonora Police report North Washington Street just re-opened off to traffic. However, traffic is backed up so motorists may still want avoid the area.
