Motorcycles Crash Near Copperopolis

There were only minor injuries from a weekend accident involving two motorcycles.

The CHP reports that it happened on Saturday along Highway 4 near Pool Station Road. Officers believe that 33-year-old Harry Carnes of Lincoln, California misjudged a curve in the highway and allowed his 2007 Harley Davidson to fishtail and slide into the opposing traffic lane. The motorcycle hit an oncoming Honda Pilot driven by Gregory Dusyang of Sacramento.

46-year-old Cristiana Stomme of Elk Grove was riding a 2009 Harley Davidson behind Carnes, and she crashed the bike while trying to avoid the accident. Stomme and Carnes reported minor injuries, but did not require the service of an ambulance. Dusyang was not injured.
