Tuolumne Ravens Go Gold In Fresno

Fresno, CA -- The Tuolumne Ravens captured the gold medal in Group 5 of the Northern California Regional Special Olympics Basketball Tournament Sunday at Hoover High School.

The Ravens "A" team opened play Saturday noon with a loss to  Madera Howlers-Martin. The Ravens came right back and defeated the Wilson Wildcats by three points to close out Saturday play.

Sunday the Ravens qualified for the Gold Medal game with their 46-11 win over Madera Howlers-Isom. Then they captured the gold with their 44-16 win over the PSW Roadrunners.

Pictured from left to right are Dustin Messamore, Zak Kipper, Karissa Archer, Gus Kipper, Brandi Casner, Joe Wagner, Ashley Grimes, Tim Collie and Andy Kohler-Crowe. Missing is Kevin Feinstein.

The Tuolumne "B" Ravens finished fourth in their pool.

The Skills and Drills athletes accounted for six medals including three golds captured by Darlene Adams, David Sullivan and Jeffrey Kohler-Crowe..
