Calaveras Bicyclist Injured
Burson, CA -- A bicyclist that was hit in Calaveras County suffered major injuries.
It happened yesterday on Highway 12 near Burson Road at 4:20pm. The CHP reports that 57-year-old Jack Costa of Burson was hit by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Elijah R. Nhy of Lodi. The CHP says that Nhy took off his shirt and wiped sweat from his eyes, and allowed his vehicle to drift into the westbound shoulder.
Nhy's vehicle collided with Costa's bicycle, and he Costa ejected. He was taken to Modesto Memorial Hospital. His current condition is unknown.
