Road Work Ahead

Motorists will continue to notice road work taking place in various areas around the Mother Lode this week.
Caltrans reports that Highway 49 remains closed from Highway 120/Chinese Camp to the Highway 108 intersection. A marked detour is in place near the construction zone. Road reconstruction there will continue through August 31st.
Caltrans is conducting late-night traffic control operations on Highway 108 near the intersection of Draper Mine Road. 15 minute delays can be expected from 9pm until 5am.
There will also be late night construction near downtown Sonora this week. It is on Stockton Road between the Highway 108 and the Washington Street intersections. Motorists should expect 20 minute delays between 8pm and 7am.
