Fire Contained Near Carson Hill

Firefighters have contained a 16 acre blaze near Carson Hill.
Cal Fire reports that it started during the five o'clock hour this evening. No homes were reportedly damaged and the cause is under investigation. The fire was near the area of Highway 49 and Red Hill Road. The blaze was attacked from the air and ground.
Firefighters will remain on scene for the next several hours for mop-up operations.
