Sonora, CA -- A forum hosted by the Tuolumne County Supervisors will examine the need for affordable housing in the community, notably rentals.

The Workforce Rental Housing Forum will be held this Wednesday from 10am-noon in the Board of Supervisors meeting room. Discussion will focus on the need for affordable rental housing, how to get financing and successful strategies of nearby communities.

Scheduled speakers include Carol Ornelas, Executive Director of Visionary Homebuilders in Stockton, Beetle Barbour, Housing Resources Director for ATCAA, Tracy Prevost, of Mother Lode Property Management, Kathleen Paley, Development Coordinator for the Michaels Organization and Sheila Shanahan, Housing Program Coordinator for Tuolumne County.

Wednesday's forum is open to the public.
