Several local weekend events involve the arts. It is the third anniversary of 2nd Saturday Art Night in Historic Downtown Sonora. Details about the event are here.

At the Opera Hall, Sierra Foothill Residential Care presents “A Musical Affair”. The event features a free concert, wine tasting, food, and raffles. Starting at 3pm on Saturday there will also be a free concert on by the Great Mother Lode Brass and Reed Band on Sunday at the same time. View the event listing here.

Teens (grades 9-12) can participate in a Mural Workshop and volunteer for the Mural-In-A-Day-Sonora project with Judy Grossman. Details are in the mural workshop listing here.

The Curtin Mansion is having an open house. Purchase tickets to tour the historical Victorian mansion as part of a Tuolumne County Historical Society (TCHS) fundraiser. For hours and ticket prices for the tour check the event listing here.

Sonora’s Senior Center by the Library on Greenly Road is having an open house as well. From 11am to 3pm take a tour and learn about the activities and services provided by senior center. Click here for more information.

If gardening is your interest, join gardeners from the gold country and valley for a day of expanding your knowledge of native plant gardening. Also on Saturday, at Bret Harte High School track in Angels Camp, the “Live On! Walk-a-Thon for Suicide Awareness and Prevention” will begin at 8am. More details on how to participate are in the event listing here.

The Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway Association (EPSBA) will be hosting their 7th Annual Scenic Celebration on Saturday. The Association invites everyone to “Come Play on the Pass” and enjoy one of the last free, outdoor, live music events of the year. On Sunday Columbia State Historic Park will host the 41st Annual Fine Art Show. Over 50 artists will be displaying paintings, pottery, photography and sculpture. Admission to the show and park are free.
