Tuolumne County, CA — Officials are estimating that the Rim Fire has grown to 254,685 acres.

Firefighters are expected to face hot and dry conditions again today. The Incident Command is predicting active fire behavior in the Clavey River drainage, Reynolds Creek drainage and Jawbone Creek drainage. The fire is also expected to spread within the control lines west of Harden Lake and west of Tioga Road. A large smoke column is expected to develop again today due to the interior burning.
