Chase Leads To Crash

Standard, CA -- An unidentified man was arrensted following a high speed chase in Sonora.

At 1:40pm a CHP officer attempted to stop a Honda four door sedan at Greenly and Mono way. According to CHP Officer Brad Schultz, the driver fled from the CHP at high rate of speed east on Mono Way.

The driver accelerated past the Junction and up to Standard where he attempted a right hand turn, lost control of the vehicle and crashed. The driver got out of the vehicle and ran away. Officers set up a perimeter to look for the driver and the driver has been arrested. Additional details have not been released at this time.
