Sacramento, CA -- Some counties across the region were allocated money from Caltrans this week for road projects.

$15.6 million is coming to Amador County to rehabilitate a 5.5 mile stretch of Highway 88. In Mariposa County, $1.14 million will help rehabilitate 2.2 miles of Mt. Bullion Cutoff Road. A total of $347 million in funding was allocated to 47 projects statewide. Much of the funding is coming from Proposition 1B.

Acting Caltrans Director Malcolm Dougherty says, "We're putting people back to work building better roads, bridges, rail, and transit for California."

Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties were not included in the latest round of funding.
