Area mountain passes will be closing over the next 24 hours in anticipation of high country snow.
Tioga Pass will close at 7pm tonight. Yosemite National Park officials say that a series of wet weather systems are predicted over the next several days. The National Park Service wants to prevent motorists from encountering hazardous driving conditions.
Caltrans announces that Highway 108 Sonora Pass and Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass will close at noon Wednesday. Highway 108 will close at Snow Park and Highway 4 just past the Mount Reba Turnoff.
