State of the Union Address to Congress
State of the Union Address to Congress

Sonora, CA -- Mother Lode residents speak out about the U.S. Congressional Job Rating that is at a five year low in California.

According to the Field Research Corporation survey completed this week, 84% of California voters now disapprove of the job that Congress is doing, while just 10% approve.

The dissatisfaction was reflected in the recent "On The Street" segment conducted by reporter Tina Falco. "On The Street" is a weekly vignette that airs on 1450 KVML, Star 92.7 and 93.5 KKBN.

Tina Falco asked Mother Lode residents; "If you could send a message to Congress, what would it be?" Those interviewed expressed their frustration, some were so explicit that they could not be aired. To hear what was posted visit the Multimedia On the Street section.

Field Research reports "Californians' hugely negative assessment exists among voters of all political stripes - Democrats, Republicans and non-partisans."

The Field Poll has periodically measured Californians' appraisal of the job performance of the U.S. Congress over the past 20 years. To view the full survey report from fieldonline go here.
