Sonora CA -- Comcast held a ceremony at the Sonora Opera Hall to celebrate the completion of the project that brings cable internet and high definition channels to the Mother Lode.
Comcast's new services will be available to anyone in the current Comcast footprint including broadband (cable) internet. It will also be offered to residents in areas such as Phoenix Lake who were previously unable to receive high speed service.
Some of the new services include HDTV channels and broadband internet. Xfinity On Demand products include searchable free and pay to view movies and TV shows, free karaoke, fugitive watch, and missing children reports. Comcast says its most popular On Demand feature is local animal adoption videos.
Comcast offers reduced cost internet for families enrolled in the Federal National School Lunch Program. For more information go to InternetEssentials.com
