Red Flag Warning For Stanislaus National Forest
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the Stanislaus National Forest through Monday 4 p.m.
A Red Flag Warning is also known as a Fire Weather Warning.
The Stanislaus National Forest is located in Calaveras, Tuolumne and Mariposa Counties.
Winds of fifteen to thirty mph with gusts up to forty-five mph are expected. Over the higher ridges, winds of twenty to thirty-five mph with gusts up to sixty-five mph are possible.
Humidity recoveries will run in the single digits to low teens during the day on Monday.
The low humidities along with gusty winds and dry fuel, will bring critical fire weather conditions. Power lines and branches may blow down. Brush fires could easily spread into trees with gusty winds.
