Clarke's Santa Fly-In, Coat, Food, and Cash Drive
|

Sonora, CA-- Under blue skies and sunshine, Mother Lode residents came out to share the spirit of holiday giving.
Clarke Broadcasting's Santa Fly-In Coat and Cash Drive brought lines of cars to Standard Park to donate non-perishable food items and warm coats to those less fortunate in Tuolumne County. Numerous volunteers from multiple organizations spent their Saturday giving a helping hand unloading cars and taking donations for Interfaith Social Services.
The highlight of the day was Santa Claus arriving at noon by helicopter thanks to Tuolumne County Ambulance and PHI Air Medical.
While final numbers are still being calculated, hundreds of coats and several pounds of canned and boxed goods were dropped off. Also, over $26,000 was raised from the on-air cash drive Thursday and Friday on Star 92.7 and 93.5 KKBN. That amount exceeded the $23,000 in cash donations collected last year.
100% of all donations (coats, food, and cash) go to Interfaith Social Services to help Tuolumne County families in need.
