Numerous Mother Lode Schools Are Closed

Sonora, CA-- Various Mother Lode area schools are closed due to power outages and they asking parents to pick up their children.
Belleview Elementary closed at 6:45 am, Black Oak Elementary at 8 am, Twain Harte Middle School at 8 am, Summerville Union High School at 11 am, Curtis Creek Elementary 11:30 am, and Mother Lode Christian at 11:30am, all closed due to power outages.
Curtis Creek Elementary noted that they also have no phones service at the school to call and notify parents that their children need to be picked up.
Cell phone lines tend to become over loaded in these situations, please be on the look out for debris on the road as you drive and pick up your children if they go to these schools.
