Two Injured In Calaveras Crash
Two were injured in a head-on collision over the weekend in Calaveras County.
The CHP reports that 55-year-old Matthew Witmer of Wilseyville was driving a 1984 Oldsmobile westbound on Highway 12 near Valley Vista Drive. He merged into the two way turn lane and started to turn south. Witmer allegedly failed to yield the right of way to 21-year-old Brittany Judd of Burson, who was driving a 2000 Mazda, and the vehicles collided. Both drivers were transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital to treat minor injuries.
The accident happened on Saturday.
