Veterans Day At Columbia Historic Cemetery

Columbia, CA -- In honor of Veterans Day the Columbia Foot Dragoons performed their traditional Veterans Day Ceremony at Columbia's historic cemetery. Explaining the significance and origin of Veterans Day, they observed the traditional two minute moment of silence at 11:00am.

The Grenadine Bells performed a Recitation of Names for the last surviving veteran of each war. The names of all those who served and are buried at Columbia Historic Cemetery were also read.

Company F, Columbia Foot Dragoons were dressed in 1800's militia dress represent the original Columbia militia that existed for five to six years. The Grenadine Bells (see photos) were organized to honor 19th century customs, etiquette, harmony and celebrations. Bugles were played by Ryan Carr and Sydney Copello.
