Cajun Fest This Weekend
Sonora, CA-- This weekend it's the return of the Cajun Fest at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.
Now in its 15th year, the Saturday event sponsored by the Sonora Sunrise Rotary, attracts nearly 400 people each year.
The evening will begin with a gourmet cajun dinner at 5:30 pm and feature gumbo, jambalya and catfish. The John Muir Building will also be filled with live cajun music, dancing and raffle prizes.
"It's a great fun night for the entire family, said Rotary member Sally Dunn. "And it's also a great way to support your community."
All proceeds benefit the Sonora Sunrise Rotary's community service and student scholarship funds. The event runs until 9:30 pm.
