Forest Monitoring Fires
Sonora, CA -- Forest Service officials are monitoring three lightening caused fires in the Stanislaus National Forest.
The Burst Complex Fires are a combined two acres. They are located in an isolated area of the Emigrant Wilderness. Two of the fires are near the Bell Creek Drainage and the third is located on the rim of an area known as the Punchbowl near Forest Service Road 4N34Y.
The fires have been spreading very slowly due to recent precipitation in the high country. The fires are being managed to meet resource objectives.
