Heroes Day in the Foothills

Sonora, CA -- Today is the second annual "Heroes Day In the Foothills."
1450 KVML, Star 92.7, 93.5 KKBN and myMotherLode.com are once again joining forces with the Blood Bank of Sonora to put on the community blood drive. The event started at noon and will continue until 6:30pm.
The Blood Bank reports that about 60 percent of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood, but only five percent do. One out of every 10 hospitalized patients needs blood. Walk-ins are accepted at today's event.
