A Free Circus In Sonora

A completely free circus is coming to Sonora this Saturday.

Bob Gelman, Cirque du Sonora spokesperson, was Wednesday's KVML "Newsmaker of the Day".

"Cirque du Sonora" is french for "Circus of Sonora". The free family circus will run from 10am - 5pm at the Sonora Subaru parking lot located at 14890 Mono Way.

There will be waterslides and a bounce house for the children as well as clowns, jugglers, acrobats and magicians. There will also be a dunk tank featuring some of the better known faces of Tuolumne County.

Music will be provided by Alma Melodiosa and Maryannn Curmi from Star 92.7 FM will serve as the host throughout the day.

Every adult will also have the free chance to win a brand new 2011 Subaru Outback by trying to unlock the secret six-number combination code.

All money raised will benefit Sierra Nonprofit Services which benefits over a dozen local non-profit services.

The "Newsmaker of the Day" is heard every weekday on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
