By William Inge
In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a roadside diner. All roads are blocked, and the weary travelers have to hole up until morning. Among them is Cherie, a nightclub singer, and Bo, a love-struck young cowboy with all the romantic finesse of a headstrong bull. While exuberant and comical on the surface, this enduring play by American master William Inge is a tenderhearted tale of love and loneliness that reveals our deep hunger for companionship and understanding. "Inge's warm human study... is worth the trip from anywhere."
