Serving Size : 4-6 persons
Preparation Time : 30 minutes
Cooking Time : 1 hour 30 minutes

This is a delicious twist on the original, using diced beef smoked sausage instead of ham for flavoring. Try this as a side dish alongside a turkey or ham and I can almost guarantee it will upstage the main entrée with your family and kids.

Amount Measure Ingredients
8 medium potatoes peeled and sliced thin
8 oz beef smoked sausage diced
2 cups Milk
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
3 tablespoon butter or margarine
1 cup cheddar cheese

To prepare:
In a large steel bowl, whisk together the milk, flour, and seasonings until well blended and no lumps. Layer the potatoes and sausage pieces in a medium (9x9) baking dish or casserole pan. Pour the milk-flour mixture over the potatoes and then place pats of butter over the top. Cover with cheese and place in a preheated 350-degree oven. Bake 1 ½ hours until sauce is thickened and potatoes are tender, serve immediately and enjoy!
