Young Americans at Summerville High School

The Young Americans are coming to Summerville High School, hosted by Summerville and Connections Visual and Performing Arts Academy.  The Young Americans company of 45 staff, singers, and dancers present a three-day workshop program filled with music, dance, and fun for grades 4th-12th! 

The Young Americans are focused on providing music education and performance opportunities to young people around the world.  They provide an innovative and creative learning environment that fosters artistic, intellectual, and personal growth.  The Young Americans is dedicated to the promothion of understanding and good will among people throughout the world through music, dance, performance, academic educatuon, and cultural interaction among student members and their audiences.  This workshop takes place Feb. 4th through Feb. 6th, with the performance taking place the evening of Feb. 6th at 7pm in the Summerville High School Gym. 

This workshop is open to all students in grades 4th-12th in Tuolumne County.  Parents can register their kids by visiting www.youngamericans.org.  The cost of registration is $60.00 and includes a t-shirt.  Tickets for the performance on Feb.6th are $10/Adult and $8/Student.  Space is limited, so register now!  For more information, please call Diana Harford, Principal of Connections Visual and Performing Arts Academy, 209-928-4228, ext. 230.
