A New Year is coming soon, with new opportunities for you! Consider spending time with an elder through the Older Adult Outreach and Engagement Program. Activities include visiting, reading, doing puzzles, playing games, as well as going out for lunch, shopping, and more.
Transportation is also a place where volunteers can make a much needed difference. The Outreach and Engagement Program assists in arranging transportation for doctor's appointments, to the pharmacy, grocery shopping, and other excursions. In return, the Program offers mileage reimbursement to volunteers for their assistance in addressing this serious problem for our foothill older adults.
Anyone interested in volunteering is welcome and services are free of charge to those over the age of 60 regardless of race, religion, or income.
The training will be held on Friday, Dec. 14th from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm at St. Patrick's Parish, 820 S Main, Angels Camp.
