46th Annual AAUW Home Tour

Tickets are available for the 46th Annual AAUW* Home Tour on Sat, Dec 1, from 12 to 4 pm. Members of the AAUW Sonora Branch are busy preparing for their only fundraiser of the year, featuring a tour of four outstanding homes in Sonora and Columbia. Tickets are $20 for the affair, which also includes tea and cookies, a boutique, and the popular basket raffle in Faith Hall at the Church of the 49ers, located on Parrotts Ferry Road and Jackson Street in Columbia.
Tickets are available at Mountain Bookshop in the Junction Shopping Center in Sonora, and Columbia Candle & Soap Works in Columbia, or by calling 586-1322. Proceeds go toward college scholarships for local women., and to send 8th grade girls to Tech Trek, an annual math and science camp. The Sonora Branch of AAUW also sponsors the Speech Trek Contest for local high school students each November.
*AAUW was formerly known as the American Association of University Women. Its mission is to break through educational and economic barries so that all women have a fair chance.
