TUOLUMNE WRITERS RETREAT
Pre-registration is required for the 2 days of writer’s workshops and meals, registering before August 31st will include a discount.  

The Sonora Writers Group is now excepting registration for the Tuolumne Writers retreat in the Historic Old Gold Town of Columbia. The Event will take place in SEPTEMBER the weekend of the 28th, 29th, 30th, 2012.

The Tuolumne Writers Retreat workshops have been created to inspire your imagination, expand your creativity, provide you with the latest information, all while having lots of fun.  

Many of the activities scheduled for the weekend will be free and open to the public. Friday will kick off the Retreat with a spooky ghost walk lead by Carol Biederman, with stories and poems. Cowboy poets Wendy Brown-Barry and Madison Seamans will perform at the Douglass Saloon Saturday at 12:30. Saturday 6:30 pm in Anglos Hall there will be an open mic night with poetry, short stories and entertainment by The Devil Mountain Boys.

Saturday evening will include, for Retreat attendee’s, dinner and guest speaker, author Charity Maness in Black Bart’s Skillet.

Sunday’s events for Retreat attendee’s will feature guest speaker, playwrite author Alexander Chow-Stuart, and a publisher’s panel with noted experts to answer retreat attendee’s questions and in Anglos Hall.

Author’s Row Sunday morning will be open to the public, where you can meet the authors and pick up autographed copies of your favorite book, written by many of our local authors.
