Kites over Calaveras Kite Festival
Sunday, June 3rd
There's something for everyone at the 9th Annual Kites over Calaveras. Large Kites, Small Kites and everything in between will be there.
A kite making workshop will be held on Saturday June 2th from 1:00 pm. to 4:00 pm. at the San Andreas Town Hall. Space is limited and reservations are required. Cost is $25 per kite. This includes everything you need to make and fly your own personal kite the next day at the Kite Festival.
On Sunday June 3rd the festival starts at 11:00 am. and runs to 4:00 pm. at the San Andreas Community Ball Park on Mountain Ranch Road.
Learn-to-Fly, Candy Drop, Mystery Ballet, Mass Ascension (a tribute to the Red, White, and Blue), with kite flying demonstrations through out the day. Brought back this year by popular demand, our very own, Kite Demolition Derby. Plus, kids activities and a small engine display. So come out and join the fun!
