"Isn't It Romantic", the sounds of Mountain Melody Women's Chorus of Calaveras can be heard at two spring concerts. The choir will perform Saturday, May 5, at The Community Covenant Church in San Andreas, and again on Sunday, May 6, at the Good Samaritan Community Covenant Church in Valley Springs. Both concerts begin at 4pm and are free to the public. Refreshments will be served after the program and donations are always welcome.
The Mountain Melody chorus is directed by Julia Shelby with piano accompanist Marge Biagi-Castro. Members come from far and wide throughout the county. The singers present a unique performance, with memorized music, lush harmonies, solos, and accompanying instruments
"Till there was You", "How Sweet It Is", and more romantic favorites, along with 1940's tunes and Broadway hits will be performed.
