The Older Adult Outreach and Engagement Program will host the 3rd Annual Free Senior Luncheon and Elder Financial Abuse Awareness Presentation at five locations in Tuolumne County on Wednesday, March 14 and at four locations in Calaveras County on Wednesday, March 21st. All luncheons will be held from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm. Reservations are requested for the Tuolumne County Luncheons by Wednesday, March 7th and for the Calaveras Luncheons by Wednesday, March 14. Reservations are required and transportation is available.
Tuolumne County Free Senior Luncheon and Elder Financial Abuse Awareness Presentations will be held at the following five locations:
• Tuolumne County Senior Center in Sonora
• Jamestown Community Hall in Jamestown
• Church of the 49ers in Columbia
• Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Sugar Pine
• And the Groveland Community Hall in Groveland
Calaveras County Free Senior Luncheon and Elder Financial Abuse Awareness Presentations will be held at the following four locations:
• Calaveras County Senior Center in San Andreas
• Murphys Senior Center in Murphys
• Chapel in the Pines in Arnold
• And West Point Community Center in West Point
New this year is the Elder Financial Abuse Awareness Presentation offered by local bankers who will provide excellent information and answer questions. Seniors over the age of 60 are invited to enjoy a delicious free lunch, companionship, entertainment, door prizes, and the opportunity to voice their ideas on what they feel could be helpful for them to remain living independent. The menu will include Lasagna, French Bread, salad, and cookies all prepared by Cover's Apple Ranch.
