2004 Mother Lode Round-Up Queen

Miss Meagon Middleton is our 2004 Mother Lode Round -Up Queen. She's sure got some determination! Having sold candy bars to earn her first horse, she had always dreamed of becoming the Mother Lode Round-Up Queen. Meagon worked hard to become not only a great horsewoman but to prove she had all the makings of the 2004 Mother Lode Round- Up Queen. She says she's had an amazing year she'll never forget… Thanks Meagon!

The Round-Up Queen is chosen based on a Judges total scores to pick the winner, but not all the points come from the pageant. Saturday´s event, the Queen´s horsemanship competition, accounts for 30 percent of the total vote in choosing each year's winner.

The 2004 Mother Lode Round-Up Parade was again a huge success. The constant rainstorms of the past few weeks disappeared, giving way to brilliant sunshine and warm temperatures. Of the 168 separate entries, these 34 were honored as best-of-class:
