Suspect Arrested, Pastor's Stolen Laptop Recovered in San AndreasMonday, January 26, 2004 - 08:15 PM
The case of a stolen church laptop resulted in the arrest of a Railroad Flat man. Friday morning, a Calaveras County Sheriff's Deputy stopped a red van at the Harris Food Mart in San Andreas. The deputy spotted a computer bag containing a Dell laptop, which turned out to match the description of a computer stolen from a Mountain Ranch church. The church's pastor was called to the scene and confirmed the computer was his. 24-year-old John C. Mason was arrested for possession of stolen property. Bail is set at 75 thousand dollars.
