San Francisco, CA -- The Angel Island fire in San Francisco Bay reached 100 percent containment Tuesday.
400 of the island's 740 acres were scorched by the fire whose Sunday evening ignition remains a mystery. Officials says it may have been a errant campfire. Restoring power for the island's 20 fulltime residents remains the top priority. Overall, no deaths, no injuries to humans or to the island's wildlife and there was no damage to the many historic buildings.
Angel Island hosts 200,000 visitors a year but for the time being, the island is "closed for repairs."
