Sonora, CA -- Dwayne Clay Carthen, 26 year old Lamesha Finister and 30 year old Nieneta Bland, all of Sacramento, were arrested at the Crossroads Shopping Center Blockbuster Video store Tuesday afternoon and charged with felony burglary and felony possession of stolen property.
Bland was also booked in the County Jail on an outstanding federal warrant for tax evasion. The trio stole approximately $1,200 worth of merchandise from the Blockbuster store in Angels Camp and then attempted to pull off a similar caper at the Sonora Blockbuster.
Having been warned by Angels Camp Police, Sonora Police officers stopped the trio's car as it exited the parking lot and discovered 49 new DVD's, 29 new DVD games and four X-Box game controllers.
