Sonora, Ca -- The Sonora Area Foundation has been given the green light by the Sonora Planning Commission to remodel the former Back Street Bar and Grill building at 326 S. Stewart St.
The primary work will be converting the south patio area into a 626 square ft. conference room. “The final floor plan will be coming before our Board of Directors, probably before the end of the month,” says SAF Executive Director Mick Grimes. “If all goes smoothly, we could put out a request for bids from contractors within the next 30 days or so.”
Grimes says the goal of the Foundation is to move into the new facility sometime in Spring of 2009.
