Attempted Murder Suspect Remains At-Large

Thursday, August 28, 2008 - 02:05 PM

San Andreas, Ca -- The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department is continuing its search for 39-year-old Lee Rod Wilson, the man who allegedly shot his brother at a party in Avery this past Saturday night.

The shooting took place at a birthday party in the 500 block of Sorrel Rd. Wilson's 37-year-old brother Jimmy was airlifted to a hospital in Modesto, and has since been released.

Sgt. Dave Seawell says that investigators have reason to believe that Wilson could be in the Big Trees State Park area.

“We're still looking for the attempted homicide suspect,” says Seawell. “Investigators are still investigating the case, and we hope to locate him soon."

Anyone with any information regarding this case is encouraged to contact the Sheriff's Department at (209) 754-6500 or contact the "tip line" at (209) 754-6030. Your call can remain anonymous.
