Sheriff Recognized For Supporting U.S. Army

Tuolumne County Sheriff Jim Mele Recognized By Lt. Colonel Commanding, Bernard Samuel, Jr.

Sonora, Ca -- Tuolumne County Sheriff Jim Mele was recognized this afternoon for allowing members of his staff to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Mele was presented the Army Employer Recognition Award by Lt. Bernard Samuel, Jr. with the Second Battalion, 360th Regiment, 402nd Field Artillery Brigade.

The award presentation was in the Conference Room at the Sheriff's Office. Mele's employee Captain Michael Bailey is a member of the Army Reserves, and was one of the inviduals on hand this afternoon. .
