Fire Safe Council Meeting Set For Sugar Pine

Sugar Pine, Ca -- Fire protection, emergency preparedness and fire prevention will be a few of the topics discussed at the Hwy 108 Fire Safe Council meeting scheduled for Thursday at 6:30 pm at the Mi-Wuk/Sugar Pine Volunteer Fire Department meeting room.

The Fire Safe Council is inviting homeowners in the Confidence, Sugar Pine, Mi-Wuk Village, Sierra Village, Long Barn, Cold Springs, Twain Harte and surrounding areas to attend. The subject area includes public and private land accessed by Highway 108.

Featured will be a keynote presentation by a representative from the State of California, Office of Emergency Services Fire Branch. The history of this branch, what its mission is, the types of equipment they respond with, and the type of service the branch offers to the residents of Tuolumne County will be explained.

The fire station is located at 24247 Hwy 108 in Sugar Pine.
